Rubber Accelerator DZ CAS 4979-32-2

The rubber vulcanization accelerator DZ (N,N-dicyclohexyl-2-benzothiazole sulfenamide) was synthesized by the simultaneous dropwise addition of NaCl, sodium salt of promoter M and sulfuric acid solution. The preferred synthesis conditions are: n (Promoter M): n (dicyclohexylamine): n (NaClO)=1: (0.9 ~ 0.95): (1.35 - 1.40), reaction temperature 36 ~ 46 ℃ C, reaction time 3 h, pH 9.8 ~ 10.2 The results of medium-sized tests show that the DZ yield is greater than the initial melting point greater than 95 ℃, the melting range is 0.5-1.0 ℃, and the free 2,2'-dithiobenzothiazole mass fraction is less than 0.5%.

Soluble in benzene, dichloromethane,carbon tetrachloride, petrol, ethyl acetate, ethanol, insoluble in water.

This is a delayed accelerator of good dispersion quality in rubber, the scorching duration is long, which could improve the safety of operation. Suitable for the rubber that need large amount of high active reinforcer. Due to the bitterness, it's unsuitable for the product contacting with food. Mainly used for the manufacturing of tire, rubber tape, shock absorption products and radial tire.
